A loan of $1,325 helped to buy fabric, threads, buttons and other supplies.

Lidia's story

Lidia lives in the city of Itá with her husband and three school-age daughters.

Lidia has a sewing workshop in her home. She takes on jobs from her customers who are located in the market district. Her husband and daughters help her in the business. She says that she previously used to sell hens in the market and her husband worked in a factory but when the sewing business gradually took off they started working in it full time.

Lidia is requesting this loan to invest in her sewing workshop. She will buy fabric, threads, buttons and other supplies so that she can continue growing and improving her family's quality of life.
