This is Julideth, a 28-year-old living in Taboo, Jimenez, Misamis Occidental, with her two children. To make a living, Julideth owns and operates a motorcycle transport service. She has been engaged in her business for two years and earns 4,000 a month from this activity.
She is requesting a loan of 5,000 PHP from GDMPC, as a new member. She will use the loan to obtain maintenance for her motorcycle. She plans to use the additional revenue generated by the business to improve and extend her services.
Gata Daku Multi-Purpose Cooperative (GDMPC) was founded in 1992 by 32 farmer-members to empower people by providing livelihood opportunities and other support services. Today, it has over 15,000 members located in upland, lowland and coastal regions of the Philippines, and offers credit, savings, education, and various social services.
