A loan of $775 helped to buy pigs and chickens to raise.

Felisa Esperanza's story

Felisa Esperanza, 36, makes a living raising and selling chickens and pigs. At her home she has a space where she raises chickens and pigs for times when they're most wanted, such as the patron saint festival or weddings.

She also travels two or three times a week to the market in the town of Pachalun to sell live chickens. She manages to sell a hundred chickens every trip she makes there. With this Felisa has earned an income with which she's able to contribute to supporting her family, her children's studies, and some improvements that she and her husband have made to their home.

Felisa needs capital to be able to buy more pigs to fatten as well as chickens to sell in the local markets.
