Wael's story

Wael is a 31-year-old married man, father of one child. He has been working as a butcher for 14 years. In 2011, Wael opened his own business to develop his living and increase his income.

Wael is a hard worker, well known in his region with his good reputation and quality of meat served. He sells meat in wholesale and retail upon request.

Wael is applying for a loan from Kiva's partner Al Majmoua, in order to do necessary maintenance to his shop to keep it a healthy medium and attractive enough for present customers and new ones.

Wael hopes that through applying for future loans, he will expand his butchery, and increase his wholesale capital, and open a small restaurant of his own.
