Konah's story

Konah is 31 years old and lives in West Point, which has the most populated market in Montserrado County. She is married with five children, ages 3, 7, 9, 12 and 16. All of her kids are going to school and live at home. She is a high school graduate and she is a potential businesswoman. Her husband sells charcoal and Konah is selling charcoal too, managing her own business well to enable her to help her husband with some expenses in the home.

Over the past five years she has been running this shop which is close to the local market without facing any serious problem. This business started with a little amount she got from her husband. She sells six days every week, spending 8 hours each day on her business. She is requesting a loan to purchase more charcoal for her business.

Konah plans to buy a piece of land and build a house. She would like to say thanks to the lenders who support BRAC Liberia.
