A loan of $5,000 helped a member to buy clothes and groceries.

Kushinga Group's story

Greetings from Zimbabwe! This is 57-year-old Tambudzai from Masvingo. Tambudzai is divorced with no children. Tambudzai runs a retail business which sells clothes and groceries. The business has been in operation for 13 years. She says the main challenge being faced is of space, because she is currently occupying a small shop, and she wishes to occupy a bigger shop that can accommodate more stock.

Tambudzai has requested a loan of $1,000 to buy more groceries and clothes for resale. She says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will allow her an increase in disposable income and hence, improved family welfare. In the future, Tambudzai plans to build her own shop that can accommodate the volume of her trade.
