Astou's story

Astou is married and she lives in Senegal. She has been involved in retail for the past ten years and sells "thioubs" (dyed boubous) and natural hair.

She is a client of the UIMCEC branch located not far from here she lives. She is requesting a loan of 700,000 francs to purchase some goods for resale. She is also planning to diversify her business and to start selling handbags and shoes, in order to meet her customers' demand.

With increased profits, she wants to save some money and contribute to the improvement of her family's food conditions. Her ambition is to have a store.
