A loan of $700 helped to buy pharmaceutical drugs, toiletries and cosmetics for his business.

Deen's story

This is 46-year-old Deen. He is married and has three children, ages 15, 6 and 3 years. He has one additional dependent in his younger brother, who helps him in the business.

In 1996, Deen established his pharmaceutical drugs, toiletries and cosmetics business. He began his business because he was unable to continue school. He started up a small-scale business that he has developed over this period. Working seven days a week and 14 hours a day, he earns about 1,300,000 Sierra Leone leones (SLL) every month from this business.

He would like a loan in the amount of Le 3,000,000. Deen requires a loan in order to buy pharmaceutical drugs, toiletries and cosmetics for his business. He hopes that this loan will enable him to increase his monthly profits by approximately Le 300,000. Deen used proceeds from his last loan to improve his drug store, provide livelihood for his family and pay school fees for his children. Deen's main plan is to support his children in pursuing a university education. He thanks you for your support.
