A loan of $5,150 helped a member to increase the size of the location she uses for her paper recycling business.

Micaela Bastida Ii Group's story

The community group “Micaela Bastida II” is made up of eight women entrepreneurs with a lot of creativity for business. Toribia is 39 years old, married, and has four children. She has worked for three years recycling paper. Toribia tells us that with a lot of hard work and the help of her husband, she has been earning income to cover household expenses. In the future, she would like to have her own small storage space where she could store her papers and therefore improve her income.

Toribia is requesting this loan to increase the size of the location she uses for her paper recycling business, which she says will help her get ahead. Toribia and all of the members of the group say they are very grateful to Kiva for the loan and for the confidence that has been placed in them. Toribia can be seen in the middle of the photograph in the brown long-sleeved polo shirt. She would like to close this message by giving her promise that she will comply with all of her proposed goals.

In this group: Toribia, Hellen, Demesia, Marili, Loretta, Yrma, Liseth, Orfelinda
