A loan of $275 helped to purchase more peppers, bitter balls, okra, etc. to increase her sales.

Florence's story

Florence is 43 years old and lives in the West Point area, which has the most populated market in Montserrado County. She is a widow with two children who live on their own. Florence did not go to school, but she is business-minded. For the past six years, she has been selling peppers, bitter balls, okra, etc. in the local market without facing any serious problems for now. She started this business by selling for her mother. She sells six days a week for 10 hours each day. In so doing, she is requesting a loan to purchase more peppers, bitter balls, okra, etc. to increase her sales. Her plan is to build a house. She likes to say thanks to the lenders who support BRAC Liberia.
