Adjimon Samuel
Adjimon Samuel, age 29, is married to a reseller named Vioutou. The couple have seven children who have all received schooling, and four of them are still in their care. Adjimon Samuel lives with his wife and children, and the couple handle the various household responsibilities together.

Adjimon Samuel quit school at the primary level. For the past 15 years or so, he has been selling pigs to support his family. He buys his stock at a market in northern Benin and in Burkina-Faso, a neighboring country.

This is his first time seeking the financial support of ALIDé. This will help him to bolster his activity, expand his client base, and increase his income.

Le couple assure ensemble les différentes charges de la maison. Adjimon Samuel à arrêté l’école au niveau primaire. Depuis une quinzaine d'années, Adjimon Samuel vend du porc, ce qui lui permet d’assurer les diverses charges de sa famille. Adjimon Samuel s’approvisionne dans un marché au nord du Bénin et au Burkina-Faso, un pays voisin. C’est la première fois que Adjimon Samuel demande l’appui financier de ALIDé. Ceci lui permettra de rehausser le niveau de son activité, d’accroître sa clientèle et son revenu.

Alidé is a Beninese NGO that works to reduce poverty by offering sustainable access to productive loans like this one in addition to savings, training sessions, and social work to low-income families.

Supporters of this loan should be aware that there is some risk of being repaid late. Because the Beninois Ministry of Finance has imposed restrictions on the amount of money Alidé can send to Kiva, the organization can only send monthly repayments in installments smaller than $13,000. This means that some Kiva lenders may receive their repayments late. However, Alidé remains a healthy institution in good standing with its creditors, and Kiva would like to continue working to support its clients.
