Janeth's story

This is Janeth, 46, a resident of Malibay, Pasay, Philippines. She is married to Noe and they have children. She and her husband manage their household while operating the business. She is working hard to continually provide income for their everyday expenses.

Janeth operates a buy and sell business. She sells various snacks and other foods. Her regular customers are her neighbors and the local community. She earns a minimum of PHP 500 in sales every day.

She is requesting a PHP 13,000 loan to help her continue the operation of her business. She will use the loan to buy snacks and other products.

Janeth dreams to expand her business and hopes that her children will finish their schooling. She meets up with her co-fellowship* members to share stories of her life and business every week and where she can also draw strength and inspiration from the fellowship and the word of God she studies.

All CCT community partners / clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the word of God, build social capital, and repay microfinance loans.
