A loan of $575 helped pay for parts and general maintenance on his auto rickshaw.

Segundo William's story

Seguno is twenty-three years old, single, and lives in the city of Chiclayo, in the Guadalupe district, with his parents and brothers. He is very friendly, hard-working, and enthusiastic, and has a strong desire to succeed. Unfortunately, out of a necessity due to a lack of financial resources, he had to begin working very young to help his parents and couldn't study to become a professional mechanic as he wanted to. In his free time, he likes to play soccer with his friends, and now and then he cooks a delicious dish of rice with duck to share with his family.

On his own initiative, and with a great deal of effort and dedication, Segundo works as an auto rickshaw driver, providing transportation services in his city. On the weekends, he also works as an assistant heavy machinery operator. He works about ten hours every day and believes that things are going well for him due to his responsibility and the friendly way he treats other people.

Segundo is very grateful for his Kiva loans. Thanks to this help, he will be able to get the parts and maintenance that he needs for his auto rickshaw. With his work vehicle in better shape, Segundo will be able to keep working and pushing himself toward his big dream of owning his own home.
