Maria Gloria's story

María, 30, is a single mother of a four-year-old girl. She lives at her sister’s together with her daughter in the city of Guaranda, Bolívar province.

María is a member of the communal bank Los Pinos, composed of fourteen members, all from the same community, which is located 40 minutes away from the office of the Community of Pangua.

María works in agriculture. She grows potatoes and raises chickens and cattle. She is requesting a loan to buy cattle and vaccines. With the help of this loan she will be able to have more animals, buying them in the city of Guaranda. Her main challenge is the animals’ diseases.

María’s dream is to have a good future and improve her financial situation. During her free time, she likes to rest at home with her daughter and go out for a walk.
