A loan of $1,475 helped to buy fertilisers and manure to maintain her coffee crops.

Olga Marina's story

Forty-four year old Olga is hard-working and honest. She is married and has only one child. Olga completed primary school but could not continue studying due to a lack of financial support from her parents. Alongside her husband, Olga works in agriculture, sowing and growing coffee. She learned this trade from her parents from a young age and continues the work with her husband. The land they work is their own, thanks to their efforts and many years of sacrifice which allowed them to buy it. Olga and her husband's clients are middle-men who come to the region to buy their product as well as neighbours and others who buy the coffee for personal use to resell.

Olga is applying for a loan to buy fertilisers and manure to maintain her coffee crops, so that she can have a healthy and fruitful harvest to generate an income, make a profit and continue to invest in their work.

Olga's dream, with time, is to continue to grow her crops and expand. She wants to give her son the opportunity to be educated up to university level and to learn a profession so that he can do well and grow as a person in an environment where he can adapt to anything.
