Ms. Shahida is a 26-year-old married woman and a mother of three children. She is trying hard to fulfill their demands including food, health, clothing, and education. She with her husband is doing work of agriculture for the past six years. The man shown in the photo is Shahida's husband. They crop different vegetables and fruits and sell them in the local market. She has gradually improved her business with the support of Kashf Foundation. In order to purchase different types of seeds with the packs of insecticides and pesticides, Shahida applied a loan of Rs. 30,000. This will help her to grow more crops, which will ultimately help in generating more cash. She is in her 2nd loan cycle and has a good repayment history; she is thankful to Kashf for its tremendous support.

About Kashf Foundation

Kashf Foundation is one of the leading microfinance providers in Pakistan, focused on expanding financial access for poor women across the country. The organization’s economic empowerment program has grown from 913 clients in 1999 to 284,653 clients as of May 2012, with a current outstanding portfolio of US$32 million.
