A loan of $625 helped to pay for grocery items, toiletries and beverages needed in her business.

Mira's story

This is Mira. Her previous loan was a big help in her business. She was able to buy the needed products for her variety store and it also helped in the education of her children. She and her husband are working hard to provide for their everyday needs. She also has a piggery and a jeepney for additional income.

She would like to apply for another loan of 25,000 PHP to buy groceries, toiletries, beverages and other products to add to her inventory. The more items displayed at the store the better. More items to sell will result in a better profit. Her profits from the business will definitely help sustain her family’s daily needs and pay for children’s education expense. She looks forward to this financial increase with gladness and thankfulness in her heart.

Mira hopes that all her businesses will expand and dreams that she and her family will have a good and prosperous life. She meets up with her co-fellowship* members to share stories of her life and business every week and also to draw strength and inspiration from the fellowship and from the Word of God she studies.

* All CCT community partners / clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and repay microfinance loans.
