A loan of $275 helped to pay for grocery items, toiletries and beverages.

Jose's story

This is Jose. He and his wife are continuously working to meet their everyday needs. His previous loan was a big help in his business. He was able to buy more grocery items for his general store. After six years in the business, he was able to attract loyal partners who buy his products and patronize his business. He would like to apply for another loan in the amount of 11,000 PHP that he would use to buy groceries, toiletries, beverages and other products to add to his inventory. The more items displayed at the store the better. More items to sell will result in better profit. His profits from his business will definitely help him to meet their daily needs. He looks forward to this financial increase with gladness and thankfulness in his heart. Jose dreams that his business will grow larger and that he will become a successful businessman. He meets with his co-fellowship* members to share stories of his work every week. At these meetings, he also draws strength and inspiration from the Word of God that he studies. * All CCT community partners and/or clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital and repay microfinance loans.
