Om-Mohammed Group's story

Om-Mohammed group consists of 5 women from Sana`a, Yemen. They asked for a loan of 200,000 YER from Al-Amal Microfinance Bank (AMB) to buy furniture.

Latifa is a 42-year-old married woman with two children. She can read and write. Her husband is very hard working and doing his best to earn money. However, he is unable to buy some furniture for their small house because what he earns is hardly enough to buy food and clothes. Latifa decided to help her husband and applied for a loan of 50,000 YER to buy a cupboard to use for their house. She hopes that their life conditions will improve and that they will find the capital to build the second floor of their house.
