A loan of $250 helped to buy more LPG tanks to expand her product inventory.

Marivic's story

This is Marivic, 29, a resident of Dasmariñas, Cavite, Philippines. She is married to Jojit, a worker abroad and a father to her children. She manages their household while operating the business. At this time, she is working hard to continually provide income for her everyday expenses.

Marivic operates an LPG business. What she basically does is buy Liquified Petroleum Gas tanks from wholesalers and sell them per tank with a little profit. LPG tanks can range from small to regular size tanks. Her regular customers are her neighbors and the local community. She earns a minimum of 600 Philippine Pesos (PHP) in sales every day.

To help her continue operations of her business, she is requesting a 10,000 PHP loan. She will be utilizing the loan to buy more LPG tanks to expand her product inventory. She expects a boost in her business income as she expands her business.

Marivic dreams of expanding her business and hopes for a good future for her family. She meets up with her co-fellowship members to share stories of her work every week, where she also draws strength and inspiration from the Word of God she studies.

* All CCT community partners / clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the Word of God, build social capital, and pay microfinance loans.
