Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

Nimfa's story

Nimfa is 39 years old and married with three children.

Nimfa works hard to provide for her family. She runs a general store in the Philippines and requested a PHP 15,000 loan through NWTF to buy more stock to sell like rice, sugar, cooking oil, noodles, bread and other groceries in her general store.

Nimfa has borrowed and repaid five loans from NWTF before this loan. She has been running the general store for three years and also earns additional income from fish vending.

Nimfa aspires to save enough money to expand her business.
