A loan of $1,175 helped to buy clothes and upkeep his taxi.

Eduardo Atilio's story

Eduardo, 53, lives in the city of Ica. He is a very friendly, hardworking and enthusiastic person who has a keen desire to improve his lot in life. Unfortunately due to a lack of financial resources, and because of the need to work from a young age to help his parents, Eduardo was unable to study Mechanical Engineering in further education as he had hoped to. In his free time, Eduardo likes playing football with his friends and he sometimes cooks a delicious dish of ceviche to share with his family.

At his own initiative, and with a lot of hard work and dedication, Eduardo works as a taxi driver, offering transport services in his city. He also runs a small business selling clothes, where he works on weekends. Eduardo works every day and can do so for about 10 hours. He feels comfortable with what he does and believes that it is going well thanks to the friendly treatment he offers to others.

Eduardo is very grateful to Kiva loan lenders as it is thanks to the help given that he will be able to buy a larger volume and variety of clothes to stock his business. He will also carry out the general maintenance that his taxi requires. In this way, Eduardo will have his working tool in the best conditions, which will enable him to continue working and making an effort to achieve his greatest day of having his own home.
