A loan of $1,050 helped to buy watermelon seeds to start to plant; to buy plant nutrients; and to pay labourers.

José Santos's story

José is 58. He has been a farmer for 40 years; his parents taught him this work.
He is requesting a loan from Fundación Campo for the purchase of watermelon seeds to start to sow, and for the purchase of plant nutrients and fertilizers for cultivating corn, and to pay labourers. With this investment he will purchase supplies for cultivating watermelon and corn. With his production of watermelon, he will repay the loan. The corn production will give him enough to consume and also to sell for income for his family.
