Margaret is a single mother of three children, and two of her children go to school. She has a business of selling soft drinks and has been in this business for four years.

She has applied for a loan of 500,000 Uganda shillings from MCDT-SACCO to buy more crates of soda, mineral water, passion fruits, sugar and oranges for making fresh juice. She works in the market six days out of every week and sells on a retail basis only. Her major business challenges include seasonality and transportation.

She is aspiring of owning a big deep freezer for cooling juice and also to build her own house. She resides in a rented house, and the family has access to electricity but not piped water. Her monthly expenses include rent and school fees for her children.
