Mary is 45 years old. She lives at Paynesville North which is a larger local market in Montsorrade. She is married and her husband is currently unemployed. They have seven children, 20-24 years old, who are in school and live at home.
Mary describes herself as a hardworking person. For the past ten years she has been selling oil, rice, pepper, etc in the local market. She likes her business because of the ways her customers respond to it. Mary started this business with money given to her by her mother. She gets her goods to market by using a shared taxi. She is requesting a loan to purchase more oil, rice, pepper, etc for her business.
In the future, Mary plans to buy a piece of land and build a house. She would like to thank the lenders who support BRAC Liberia in enabling small businesses to increase their sales volumes.
