Chizi is 42 years old and is married. She and her husband live at their own house that does not have electricity nor piped water.
For years, she has operated a vegetable stall business, selling from her home to her neighbors and passersby. Her major business challenge is price fluctuations. Chizi dreams of establishing a wholesale vegetable stall in the future.
With the KES 40,000 loan, she wants to purchase sacks of green vegetables, tomatoes, potatoes and onions. She decided to join Yehu to access loans to boost her business.
About Yehu Microfinance Trust
This loan is administered by Yehu Microfinance Trust, which was founded in 1998 as a project of CHOICE Humanitarian Kenya. In July 2007, Yehu became a separate entity from CHOICE and was registered as a trust. Since then, Yehu has expanded to cover over half of Kenya’s 13 coastal districts.
