Mao's story

Mr. Mao H., 61, and his wife were married in 1981 and have five children: four sons and one daughter. Two of their children are fishermen, one raises cows, one is a garment factory worker, and the last one is in school. The family lives along National Road Number Five about 15 kilometers from Phnom Penh.

Mr. Mao has been in the business of selling cows for over 10 years. He buys them from villagers and from the nearby province to raise for reselling to abattoirs and farmers. His wife has been a fruit seller for two years.

Mr. Mao is requesting a loan of $1200 to purchase additional cows to raise for resale.
