A loan of $775 helped to buy plates, forks, pots, and other items for preparing her food.

Virginia's story

Virginia, age 52, is a very happy, kind, and enterprising women. She lives in a rented home with her husband because her children are now independent and live elsewhere. Virginia prepares local foods and sells them from the front of her home. She has had this business for six years, and started it with her husband's help. She enjoys her work because it generates her a good income. She enjoys seeing her customers' satisfaction at the good flavour of her dishes. Some time ago she was the victim of a robbery. They took almost everything that she had worked so hard for, but she decided to start again. It is going very well for her; her clientele has increased and she is getting ahead.
She plans to expand her business and buy her own location. With the requested 2000 soles, she will buy plates, forks, pots, and groceries (rice, bijao leaves, fish, bananas, etc) to prepare her delicious regional dishes.
