Alfred is 59 years old, married, and has thirteen children. They live in Masindi, Uganda. He is a farmer, and also earns a salary from teaching. Like most farmers, he is challenged by unpredictable weather changes and price fluctuations that affect his growth.
His dreams are to educate his children up to the university level, and to venture into modern commercial farming to earn extra income. Alfred intends to use this loan to pay workers who are plowing his land for the next season.
