A loan of $3,000 helped to pay for fertilizer, seeds, and fuel for transporting the harvest.

Larisa's story

Larisa is a music teacher with many years of experience, teaching at local school. She lives in Goris town, with her husband and 24-year-old son. Unfortunately, a teacher's salary is hardly enough for covering a family's basic costs, and engaging in a farming business helps Larisa to have stable income. Together with her husband, Larisa keeps 45 chickens, 5 turkey and 80 colonies of bees. They get agricultural products (eggs and honey) and sell them locally.

Because the agricultural business is an important source of her family's income, Larisa would like to expand it. She has applied for this loan to SEF International, in order to enlarge her agricultural activities. With the loan's help she will be able to purchase fertilizer and seeds, and to cover fuel costs for transporting the gathered harvest to the market. It is very important for Larisa to gather more agricultural income and ensure a better life for her family.
