Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

Simuzar's story

Simuzar is 43 years old, married, and has three children: 19-year-old and 16-year-old sons and a 6-year-old daughter. Her daughter and sons go to school. She wants her daughter to become a painting instructor. Simuzar is an IDP (Internally Displaced Person) from Fuzuli city. Now she lives in the Fuzuli region, which is close to the occupied border, with her husband and children. She started her business selling bedding (bedsheets, coverlets, towels etc.) 1 year ago.

Now Simuzar needs a 2,000 AZN loan to buy stock. She wants to use the money from her expanded business to help her family. In the future, Simuzar wants to expand the area of her shop. This will be more profitable for her business. She is thankful to Komak and Kiva for supporting her.
