A loan of $500 helped to pay for the maintenance of his video/karaoke machine and to buy grocery items for his variety store.

Marlito's story

This is Marlito. He previously accessed a 20,000 PHP loan that he used in the maintenance of his karaoke machine. His earnings were a big help for the education of his children and in their personal, household and business expenditures. He also has a variety store for additional income.

He would like to apply for another 20,000 PHP loan. He will be incorporating the loan for the maintenance of his karaoke machine and to buy grocery items for his variety store. His profits from his business will definitely help him to sustain their daily needs and educational expenses of his children. He looks forward to this financial increase with gladness and thankfulness in his heart.

Marlito dreams that his business will continue to grow. He meets up with his co-fellowship* members to share stories of his life and work every week. This is where he can also draw strength and inspiration from the fellowship and from the word of God he studies.

* All CCT community partners / clients are organized into fellowship groups that meet on a weekly basis. A fellowship group is composed of 15 to 30 community partners. The fellowship groups gather each week to study the word of God, build social capital, and pay microfinance loans.
