A loan of $2,000 helped a member to buy dresses, shoes, t-shirts and jeans.

Chokumirira Hapana Group's story

Greetings from Zimbabwe! This is 41-year-old Judith from Masvingo. She is a single mother with three children; all of them are attending school. She also cares for four dependents. Judith runs a clothing business which sells dresses, shoes, jeans and t-shirts. The business has been in operation for 14 years. She says the main challenge she is facing is that her goods are sometimes stolen from her site during the night. Judith has requested a loan of $500 to buy dresses, jeans, shoes and t-shirts. She says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will enable her to pay up the school fees for all her children and also to improve the welfare of her family. In the future Judith plans to operate a transport business.
