Mustarfa is a 51-year-old married man living in Bundibugyo, Uganda, with eight children. He has been in cocoa farming since 1996. He also gets a side income from cocoa products, which he buys from others and sells to the factory.
Unpredictable weather changes and price fluctuations affect his business growth, while his desire is to become the leading cocoa producer in the area. Mustarfa intends to use the loan to prune his garden and buy cocoa to sell.
