A loan of $1,475 helped to buy fertilizers, manure and pesticides for her coffee and vegetable crops.

Fatima's story

Fatima is an entrepreneurial 32-year-old woman in a common-law marriage. She completed primary education and is thankful to her parents for the support they have provided her. She has 2 children with her partner. As a family, they have been working in agriculture for a long time, planting vegetables and coffee. Her parents taught her how to farm, and she continues to farm today since this is her family's source of income.

Her crops are sold to intermediaries who come to the area, and who categorize her product as being hygienic and of high quality.

The land that they cultivate is their own and they acquired it thanks to an inheritance given to them by Fatima's father. He gave it to them so that they could grow their crops and earn income for their family.

Today they are asking for help to buy fertilizers, manure and pesticides for their coffee crops and to maintain their vegetable crops. This will help to increase their earnings and to ensure that they get a good harvest.

Their future plans are to have a large coffee plantation, to generate more income in this way. This will help them to cover education costs for their children, their food, and other necessary expenses.
