A loan of $800 helped to buy fertilizer and soil amendments for her corn, bean, and coffee crops.

Marta Licet's story

Marta, 37, is an enterprising woman. She's married and has six children. They live at home and help with the different farming activities, and they're also young students.

She has earned a living in agriculture for many years, so she has broad experience. She sells her product in the area and on the outskirts of where she lives. She's very popular for her charisma and the personalized attention that she and her husband give each one of their customers. The most important thing in the business for them is the people who make it possible for them to sell their product.

Currently she's requesting a loan to invest in her basic grain and coffee crops. She's buying soil amendments, fertilizer, and other products that will make her crop more certain and reliable for sale.

She dreams of having a better variety of products to sell to her customers and to take the products to other areas to sell. This way she'll be able to generate income for her household, give her children a better future, help them with their studies and other needs, and strengthen her assets for her children.
