A loan of $1,475 helped to buy agricultural inputs to improve her coffee and vegetable crops.

Erlin Maria's story

Erlin is a hardworking, entrepreneurial young woman of 29 years of age. She is a single mother of 2 children who live with her and depend entirely on her for support. She finished her primary education and then couldn't continue her studies because her parents were not able to support her financially. Her parents taught her how to work in agriculture, which continues to be the way she earns a living for herself, her parents and her children. The family works together on different agricultural activities as they support the family by farming. Their crops are marketed and sold in local markets on a small scale by the different vendors in the area. Currently Erlin is asking for help to buy agricultural inputs, which will improve her coffee and vegetable crops. In this way she will be sure to have a good harvest and crops. Her plans and goals for the future are to expand her crops by buying more land, since 2 little ones depend on her. Her dream is to see them go to university and avoid them going through the same things that she experienced in her youth.
