A loan of $4,050 helped a member to purchase groceries, snacks and beverages.

Nueva Esperanza Group's story

The “Nueva Esperanza” ("New Hope") group consists of nine enthusiastic members who over time have shown to be responsible people. One of the members, Antonia, is 45 years old, married and has two children. With the desire to start her own business and be able to support her household, Antonia made the decision to open a store more than three years ago. Thanks to her efforts she has been able to maintain the business. She plans to use this loan to purchase groceries, snacks and beverages, and in this way she can stock her store. The group is grateful for the people who have made this loan possible and allowing them to keep improving. Antonia is the first person on the left and is wearing a red polo. Another member, Juana, is in the upper left corner because she was not able to arrive on time for work reasons; same for Gloria (who is not pictured).

In this group: Sebastiana, Antonia, Lucila, Juana Ricardina, Angelica, Zenaida, Elmer Faustino, Gloria Antonieta*, Teodora
