A loan of $1,500 helped to buy more groceries.

Tinashe's story

This is 30-year-old Tinashe from Harare, the capital of Zimbabwe. He is married and has two children, one of whom attends school.

Tinashe runs a retail business that sells groceries. The business has been in operation for seven years. He says the main challenge he faces is too much competition. Tinashe has requested a loan of $1,500 in order to buy more groceries for resale and remain competitive. He says the extra income generated as a result of this loan will enable him to build a house for his family.

In the future, Tinashe plans to open a chain supermarket in Chinhoyi.
