Fighting for a better future? We need your help.

Creating a more equitable world takes a lot of time and energy, but at Kiva we’re in it for the long haul. 100% of money lent on Kiva goes to funding loans. That means we rely on donations from people like you to make this work possible. For a limited time, if you donate $35 or more, a $25 bonus will be added to your account (you’ll get an email once it’s there).

El Kuychy Group's story

These are the members of the "EL KUYCHY" communal bank, located in the San Sebastian district, in the Cusco province and department.

Juan is 45 years old, married, and has two children. He provides taxi services and has been doing this for several years and things are going well for him, thanks to the effort he puts into his business each day. He works Monday through Friday from 6:00 am to 10:00 pm and he is a responsible and hardworking person who gets his family ahead in this manner.

He is asking for a loan so that he can perform maintenance on his car, such as buying tires for it.

The other members have businesses such as selling clothing, meats, snacks, chicha, mechanic services, and grocery store.

The member who appears in the attached photo requested permission to arrive late for the meeting because of a work commitment. Our member is grateful to those who form part of this dream and is committed to making his payments on schedule.

In this group: Yuri, Carmen, Lucila, Cristina, Maura , Juan Marciano, Jenni Alexandra, Jesus *, Yuli Yovana, Nilo , Carlos Roberto
