A loan of $1,100 helped a member to buy more bowls and clothes, to sell to her customers.

Maa U Group's story

This group is made up of three members, Vida, Faustina and Eunice. They have been together from 2012 to date. They reside in the Dansoman community. They trade in bowls, second-hand clothes, and footwear, respectively.

Vida is a 28-year-old seller of bowls and second hand clothing. She is married to John, a 32-year-old mechanic. They have been blessed with two children. She has been with ID Ghana for the past year and is doing very well in her business. She has been doing this business for six years.

Vida is grateful to ID Ghana for the training on savings, which motivated her to save to achieve her dream. This is her third loan, and she needs GHS 1,000, which she will use to buy more bowls and clothes to sell to her customers. The entire group needs a total amount of GHS 2,150. They will use the loan to buy more goods, to resell to their customers in the community.
