Maiywa's story

Maiywa is 31 years old and a married woman, from Ghoghariya-7 Village Development committee, of Bara District. She is married to Rambali and has three sons and one daughter. They have started a tanga business. (A "tanga" is a cart like the one in the profile photo, which is used to transport local passengers.) They began the business six years ago, using capital from a Nirdhan Utthan Bank loan. Their tanga business is performing well. They have earned respect in the community. Maiywa has requested a loan in the amount of Nepalese Rupees (NPR) 60,000. (Sixty thousand). She will use the loan to purchase another tanga and expand the business. Her plan for the future is to buy a house, and to send the children to a good school, from the earnings of the business.
