A loan of $225 helped to finish her program in financial accounting.

Yudy Angelina's story

Yudy is the daughter of a worker and a housewife. She's the third child and has one sister and one brother. She had a happy childhood and stood out in school. She completed secondary school even though her parents separated.

She took classes in secretarial studies, jewelry, and entrepreneurship. Then, because she worked every day, she didn't have time to study. She let a lot of time go by until she decided to change to a half-time job so she could return to her studies.

It's very important to her to bring herself up to date and learn, because technology is more advanced all the time. It's very important to learn about personal and business accounting so in the future she knows what decisions to make in her financial life.

Currently she's in her sixth semester at Corporación Las Mercedes, studying to be a technical professional in financial accounting. She has made progress despite having faced obstacles. One of her goals is to graduate proudly so she can leave her mark on the world, contributing her knowledge and creativity as a financial professional in a multinational company.

Yudy is hardworking, happy, intelligent, creative, and collegial. She adapts to change and corrects and learns from her errors. She wants to show her family and society not only that it's never, ever too late to study, but also that now there are universities that offer payment terms and entities that grant subsidies for studying.

Although it is said that if you don't seize opportunities in life they won't come up again, it's not true. God sends opportunities, and much bigger ones, that can be seized with greater certainty and without fear.

After she graduates as a professional, Yudy wants to continue studying public accounting and English in the university.
