A loan of $600 helped a member to buy rice seeds, to pay the reaping fee, and to buy fertilizer for her farmland.

Pov's Group's story

Pov, age 44 and a rural villager from Moung Russey, is married and has four children. She works hard to make a living via rice farming on six hectares, with the support of her husband. The current business, which she has been involved with for 15 years, has earned her about 21,000 KHR per day.

This is the third microloan for Pov’s group of two. The past loans have helped her family improve its livelihood. Now, she and her joint member are seeking 1,200,000 KHR each. As the leader, she will spend her portion to buy rice seeds, to pay the reaping fee, and to buy fertilizer for her farmland. She hopes to make more income than before so she can expand her farmland.
