A loan of $675 helped to purchase wool.

Nancy Imelda's story

Nancy is requesting her third loan with the Buscando el Éxito community bank. She lives in the city of Cuenca, which has a cold climate and is the third most important city economically in the country. In December 1999 it became a Cultural World Heritage site. Its people are friendly, kind, and hardworking.

Nancy is 40 years old, married, and has three children who are 6, 14, and 16 years old. Her two older children are in high school and her youngest attends a school in the city. Her emotion is great because she is six months pregnant with her fourth child. Her husband works at his own business and they own their home.

Nancy takes care of her home and always cares for her children, so currently she is working from her home. She is knitting wool sweaters, scarves, and hats. She is doing this work because she is being careful during her pregnancy. She is also currently taking a cooking course.

She will invest the money from the loan in the purchase of wool to continue growing her business.

Her goal is to have a restaurant.
