A loan of $525 helped to buy a part for his cotton-candy machine.

Pablo Roberto's story

Pablo earns a living making cotton candy and popcorn. He makes these products starting at 3 a.m. so they're ready when the vendors arrive. The vendors go out to sell in the neighborhoods of Chinandega and at town fairs. Pablo has worked in this job for seven years. He started with his own capital. Previously he had worked repairing appliances and he decided to save for his own business. He's married and has four children in his care, all of whom work in the same business. He needs a loan to repair the machine he uses to make his cotton candy so he can continue earning his profits. Children, the rulers of the household, desire this product, a sweet and tasty cotton. The man makes it with sugar and coloring. He puts it on a stick and wraps it in a bag with a hanging cord. Then he puts it on a Y-shaped stick, and there goes all the hanging cotton candy!
