A loan of $575 helped to buy clothing and fabric wholesale.

Juan's story

Juan, 46, has his own home where he lives with his wife and two children. He is a merchant and has a stall at the market where he sells clothing, fabric and perfumes. For 20 years he has been in business alongside his wife. One of the problems he ran into was not having enough capital to start the business, but over time he was able to save and open his stall.

Thanks to his experience and the support of his family he was able to get ahead and establish himself in the market. Being the responsible entrepreneur that he is, he is always looking for ways to grow and expand his small business so he can give more to his family. This is his first Kiva loan, for which he is grateful, and he is committed to paying it back on time.

The 1,500 PEN loan will be used to buy clothing and fabrics wholesale to increase his stock.
