A loan of $900 helped a member to buy fabrics.

Ayidote Group's story

The Ayidote group is made up of three people who live together. The representative of the group, named Juliette, is the one whose hand is raised in the photo.

Juliette is 31 years old and has attended a little bit of school. She is married and has two children, who have been to school. In addition to her own children, she has another child under her care. Juliette lives with her children and her husband. She and her husband together take care of the family expenses.

In order to ensure the different household expenses, Juliette has been selling yams and beans for seven years. She equally sells fabrics as a second income. She procures her products in a market in Benin.

In order to satisfy her customers, and to increase her sales and earnings, Juliette is asking, together with the other members of the Ayidote group, for a fifth loan with Alide. The previous loans have all be re-paid.
