A loan of $350 helped to buy 4 sacks of fertilizer, a gallon of herbicide, and to pay for other activities to plant 7,000 square meters of corn.

Marta Alicia Antonia's story

Marta is 28 years old. She is the mother of two children. When she was 13, she started to learn to work in agriculture. Her parents were the ones who taught her to plant corn, since it was the only source of income. She went to school up to the third cycle, but then she met her partner and had two children. Now she just lives with her two children and to subsist she grows corn, since she can't find any other type of work, because the economic situation isn't very good.

The loan she is asking Fundación Campo for is to buy 4 sacks of fertilizer, a gallon of herbicide, and to pay for other activities to plant 7,000 square meters of corn. She will use the money to avoid making so many trips to the city for little things, since she incurs more expenses and wastes more time. In addition, she will use all of the materials at the appropriate time so that her harvest will be abundant and she can generate more income. Her biggest wish is to offer her children an education so that they can have good careers and help their family.
