Claudia Roxana's story

Claudia is 24 years old. She has a partner and two children. When she was 10 years old, she learned to work the land. Her parents are the ones that taught her, since there was no other trade to learn or subject to study. She grows corn and vegetables such as cucumbers, tomatoes and chiles that she sells within her own community. To arrive at the land where she plants she has to walk two kilometers on foot on very steep hills and streets, since it's close to a mountain. To buy the farming materials, she has to go down through steep streets till she gets to the place where she can catch the bus, which takes thirty minutes. The loan she is asking for from Fundación Campo is to buy 8 sacks of fertilizer, 50 pounds of corn, seeds and other materials to grow corn and vegetables. For her it is difficult to travel to town to buy the materials, and with the investment she will buy in a large quantity so that she won't have to travel as much and can save time and money. She will also use the materials in a timely manner. Her goal is to finish her brick house that she building little by little.
